The 2019 Biorisk Management Enhancement Grant (BMEG) competition is now open and is managed by CRDF Global
Eligible
projects should focus on improving biosecurity and biosafety through
physical security enhancement, development or revision of procedural
security SOPs and
materials, provision of supplies that improve biological security,
improvement of laboratory design, or the repair and maintenance of
equipment. Eligible
applicants include biological scientists, government ministries, and
private laboratories handing dangerous pathogens, law enforcement and
first responders
who have CBRN related responsibilities or handle CBRN materials, and
One Health researchers and scientists.
Eligible countries this year include Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, and Turkey.
The award total is $15,000 per project.
